Manager of Talent Recruitment & DevelopmentBuild the Team That Transforms Schools
Your work will ensure every future educator who joins CfUT experiences a transformational journey—from their first introduction to urban education through their preparation, placement, and long-term impact in the classroom.
We're hiring a Manager of Talent Recruitment & Development to help drive our mission forward by leading the team responsible for identifying, developing, and preparing the next generation of exceptional urban educators. If you're passionate about developing people, building high-performing teams, cultivating meaningful partnerships, and advancing educational excellence through faith-driven leadership, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Center for Urban Teaching (CfUT)
The Center for Urban Teaching (CfUT) is a Christian nonprofit organization that exists to identify, prepare, and support high-performing urban teachers, leaders, and schools. We save school partners hundreds of hours by identifying exceptional teaching talent as early as freshman year of college and leadership talent as early as educators' second year of teaching. Through coaching, professional development, leadership development, and school partnerships, we help educators thrive so students can succeed.
At CfUT, we believe lasting change happens by investing in people. Every teacher we prepare, every leader we develop, and every school we strengthen creates a ripple effect that impacts thousands of students for years to come. If you're looking for work that combines faith, purpose, growth, and lasting impact, you'll find it here.
About the Role
The Manager of Talent Recruitment & Development leads one of CfUT's most mission-critical functions: identifying, inspiring, developing, and placing the next generation of exceptional urban teachers.
This role combines strategic leadership with meaningful relationship building. You'll lead and develop a high-performing recruitment team, cultivate partnerships with colleges and universities, oversee candidate development experiences, and create systems that ensure talented future educators move successfully from initial interest to long-term impact in urban schools.
Unlike many management roles, this position also maintains a personal caseload of candidates. At CfUT, our leaders model excellence by doing the work alongside their teams—building relationships, recruiting exceptional candidates, and demonstrating the practices they coach others to implement. You'll balance hands-on execution with strategic leadership, ensuring both your team and your own work consistently reflect the standard of excellence we expect across the organization.
As a member of CfUT's leadership team, you'll shape strategy, strengthen organizational systems, and help ensure CfUT continues to fulfill its vision of becoming the premier producer and provider of exceptional urban teaching talent.

- A deep personal alignment with CfUT's Christian mission, vision, and values.
- A belief that every child deserves access to an excellent education.
