Help people stand up, walk, and get their lives back

Exokinetics is a veteran-led mobility technology company in West Chester, PA, and the maker of the Zeen®, a patented motor-free mobility device that helps people rise from sitting to standing and walk upright with dramatically reduced fall risk. The Zeen fills the gap between a walker and a wheelchair, and it was named one of TIME's Best Inventions. Our customers include older adults, people living with conditions like MS, Parkinson's, and stroke, family caregivers, and veterans served through the VA.

We are looking for an Internal Sales Specialist to join our three-person sales team. This is not a high-pressure sales job. It is a consultative, education-first role for someone with a good heart who enjoys helping people and their families make a meaningful decision about their mobility and independence. Most of our leads come to us through social media and our website. Your job is to be knowledgeable, responsive, patient, and genuinely helpful, and to guide the right customers to a confident purchase.

What you will do

Customer engagement and sales

Respond to inbound customer inquiries by phone, email, text, and website chat as part of a rotating phone coverage schedule with the rest of the team.
Listen to each customer's situation, answer questions about the Zeen, and help them determine whether it is a good fit for their needs, body, and home environment.
Conduct in-person and virtual Zeen demonstrations and training sessions for customers, families, and caregivers.
Follow up consistently with interested customers throughout their decision process, working alongside our marketing nurture campaigns.
Re-engage older and unconverted leads with thoughtful phone and email outreach. These are people who have already expressed interest in the Zeen, not cold prospects.

Order processing and customer support

Prepare quotes and process orders in Shopify, including draft orders, invoicing, and payment coordination.
Enter and maintain accurate customer and lead information in NetSuite, with HubSpot experience a plus as we expand our marketing systems.
Communicate order status, shipment tracking, delivery timing, and scheduling to customers.
Support customers after delivery with setup guidance, training, basic troubleshooting, and returns or service coordination, following our documented processes.

Events and teamwork

Help plan, set up, and staff Zeen demonstrations, community events, and trade shows, with occasional travel and occasional evening or weekend events.
Work closely with marketing, production, engineering, and leadership, and share what you learn from customers to help us improve.

What we are looking for

Required

Two or more years of experience in sales, customer service, account management, or a closely related customer-facing role.
Bachelor's degree.
Warm, clear communication skills by phone, video, email, and in person, especially with older adults and people with disabilities.
Strong organization and attention to detail, with the discipline to document customer interactions and follow defined processes.
Comfort with computers and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to commute reliably to our West Chester office.
Willingness for occasional travel and occasional events outside standard business hours.

Preferred

Experience in consumer healthcare, durable medical equipment, assistive technology, senior services, rehabilitation, or another consultative consumer environment.
Experience with Shopify, NetSuite, HubSpot, or a similar CRM, ERP, or e-commerce platform.
Experience giving product demonstrations or training customers.
Basic mechanical aptitude for helping customers troubleshoot and adjust their Zeen.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a nice-to-have. The Zeen is available throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, and we are growing our outreach to Spanish-speaking customers and families.

Physical requirements

This role includes assisting with demonstrations and event setup. You must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation and benefits

Base salary of $50,000 to $65,000 per year, based on experience.
