Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Rebuild Estimator to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project needs, preparing comprehensive cost estimates, and managing the bidding process for rebuild and renovation projects. Your expertise will help ensure projects are financially viable, competitive, and completed on time. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex construction projects by leveraging your estimating skills, industry knowledge, and project management experience. Responsibilities

Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine scope of work and material requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates using estimating software such as HeavyBid or similar tools, incorporating labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes.
Utilize Bluebeam and other construction management software to annotate plans, review revisions, and collaborate with project teams.
Manage the entire estimation process from initial review through final bid submission, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favorable pricing while maintaining quality standards.
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately estimate material quantities and costs.
Assist in managing project budgets by tracking costs throughout the project lifecycle and implementing cost control measures.
Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members to clarify project scope and resolve estimation-related issues.
Review contracts and scope of work documents to ensure alignment with estimates and project goals.
Support project management efforts by providing accurate cost data for scheduling and resource planning.

Requirements

Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry.
Strong proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, Xactimate, or equivalent platforms.
Extensive knowledge of Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup.
Solid understanding of construction management software tools combined with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and technical specifications confidently.
Demonstrated skill in negotiating pricing with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to optimize costs.
Experience estimating material requirements from blueprints accurately using spreadsheets or specialized estimating tools.
Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
Construction site experience is highly desirable to better understand on-the-ground realities impacting estimates.
Familiarity with contracts, project management principles, cost management strategies, and scope review processes is essential.
