Medical Practice Manager – Multi-Specialty Medical Practice.
Full-Time | $70,000–$85,000 per year, depending on experience:

Our office is seeking an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Medical Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations and staff of our established multi-specialty medical practice with 2 locations on Long Island.

Our practice includes Primary Care and Physical Therapy services. We are looking for an experienced medical office leader who can take ownership of day-to-day operations, organize and support our staff, maintain consistent office procedures, and help both locations run efficiently.

This is not simply a front-desk position with a manager title. We are seeking someone with demonstrated medical-office management experience who is comfortable supervising employees, solving problems, establishing accountability, and working alongside the team when needed.

Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of our Hempstead and Lindenhurst offices
Supervise, train, support, and hold front-desk and clinical support staff accountable
Prepare and maintain employee schedules and coordinate coverage for absences and call-outs
Monitor attendance, punctuality, productivity, and staff performance
Help recruit, interview, onboard, and train new employees
Establish and maintain consistent office procedures and workflows
Oversee front-desk operations, including patient scheduling, telephone coverage, check-in/check-out, insurance verification, and patient communication
Coordinate workflow among physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, chiropractors, medical assistants, and front-desk staff
Monitor patient scheduling and help improve appointment confirmation and patient retention
Assist with insurance, authorization, referral, and billing-related administrative issues
Communicate with billing, credentialing, and other outside vendors as needed
Identify operational problems and implement practical solutions
Provide regular updates to practice ownership regarding staffing, workflow, and issues requiring attention
Be willing to step in and assist staff during busy periods when necessary

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of medical office or medical practice management experience preferred
Demonstrated experience supervising employees in a healthcare environment
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience creating staff schedules and managing attendance and coverage
Knowledge of medical insurance, eligibility, authorizations, referrals, and medical-office workflow
Comfortable working with EMR/practice-management software
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy medical practice
Professional, dependable, organized, and able to communicate expectations clearly
Ability to work at both our long island locations.

Highly Preferred

Experience managing a multi-provider or multi-specialty medical practice
New York No-Fault and Workers' Compensation experience
Physical therapy, chiropractic, orthopedics, pain management, or rehabilitation-office experience
Experience with staff recruiting, onboarding, and performance management
Billing/revenue-cycle knowledge
Bilingual English/Spanish

The ideal candidate is someone who sees a problem and works to solve it rather than waiting for the owners to manage every detail.

We are looking for a manager who can create structure, develop a dependable team, maintain accountability, and become the primary point person for routine staffing and operational matters.

At the same time, this is a hands-on practice. The successful candidate should be willing to work alongside the staff and assist with office operations when necessary.

Compensation

$65,000–$80,000 per year, depending upon medical practice management experience and qualifications.

Exceptional candidates with significant multi-site management, New York No-Fault/Workers' Compensation, billing, or healthcare operations experience may be considered at a higher compensation level.
