Renew Medical Group is a medical group servicing drug and alcohol treatment facilities as well as mental health treatment programs. We provide medical oversight and clinical services to licensed residential treatment facilities. Our mission is to deliver evidence-based, compassionate medical care that supports long-term recovery and mental wellness.

Position Summary

Renew Medical Group is seeking a licensed Psychiatrist (MD or DO) in the state of California to provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and medical oversight for substance use disorder and mental health treatment facilities. The psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, manage ongoing care, and prescribe medications in accordance with established protocols and individualized client needs.

This role is ideal for a psychiatrist with experience in addiction psychiatry, general psychiatry, or co-occurring disorders who is passionate about supporting recovery in residential and outpatient treatment settings.

Key Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric evaluation and medical oversight for drug and alcohol and mental health treatment facilities
Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and comprehensive assessments for new clients
Perform follow-up visits for medication management and monitoring of treatment response
Prescribe and manage psychiatric and addiction-related medications in accordance with Renew Medical Group protocols and client-specific needs
Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, case managers, and treatment teams to ensure coordinated care
Review, sign, and maintain required psychiatric and medical documentation for compliance and regulatory purposes
Ensure compliance with California state regulations, DEA requirements, and professional standards of care
Participate in quality assurance, utilization review, and clinical oversight activities as needed

Qualifications

MD or DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency
Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of California
DEA registration in good standing (or ability to obtain)
Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
Experience treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions strongly preferred
Experience with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) preferred
Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and interpersonal communication skills

Schedule & Compensation

Flexible scheduling (full-time or part-time available)
Competitive compensation based on experience and availability

Pay: $200.00 - $500.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 15.0 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Encino, CA
