Full Job Description

This is a part time front desk position at a general dentist office. Expected hours are 24 hrs/week.

Duties

Secondary front desk person tasks include:

- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office

- Check out patients and collect payment

- Closing the office once all patients have been checked out

- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients

- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary paperwork

- Maintain patient records and update medical history as needed

- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing

- Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns

- Manage office supplies and ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable

Qualifications

- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar administrative role

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills

- Proficiency in using office equipment, such as phone systems and computers

- Familiarity with dental office procedures, including scheduling and medical records management

- Experience with dental software systems - Open Dental is preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner. Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
