Full Job Description

Outpatient Therapist

**Must reside in Pittsburgh and surrounding area's.**

Southwestern Human Services offers outpatient therapy for children, adolescents and adults with behavioral or mental health issues. Our services are available to individuals ages 5 and older. Services are provided by Master’s level clinicians at our outpatient clinics in the South Hills and Lawrenceville areas of Pittsburgh. Clinicians provide individual, family, and group therapy. We offer our clinicians: Paid Training, Public Student Loan forgiveness, 401k, Health Care benefits, Clinical and Psychiatric Clinical supervision, Paid time off, Supportive services for Licensure and Career Development.

Must meet one of the following:

Has a graduate degree from a college or university that is accredited by the United States Department of Education of the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in a generally recognized clinical discipline in which the degree program includes a clinical practicum. A Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or other related mental health field is required
Has an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). The Department will accept a general equivalency report from the listed evaluator agencies to verify a foreign degree or its equivalency.
Is licensed in a generally recognized clinical discipline that includes mental health clinical experience. State of PA Professional licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT), strongly preferred, but not required
Credentialed with at least 1 commercial insurance, strongly preferred, not required
Evening availability, for one night per week preferred
Hiring for both an in office therapist and hybrid therapist
**Any hybrid position offered requires in office attendance for some initial trainings in the South Hills office prior to being a fully remote therapist.**

REQUIREMENTS:

 Must have emotional stability to perform essential job functions.

 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with agency personnel

and community agencies.

 Ability to accept supervision.

 Ability to adjust hours to job requirements.

 Ability to work independently.

 Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 Ability to protect the confidentiality of the clients.

 Ability to identify with the agency’s mission statement and support the agency’s core

values.

 Have current PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse History clearance, and FBI

Clearance.
