Concierge Medical Assistant

Full-Time | Men’s Health & Wellness Clinic | Wellington, FL

We are seeking an experienced Concierge Medical Assistant who combines excellent clinical skills with an exceptional patient-centered approach. This position plays a major role in keeping the clinical side of our practice safe, efficient, organized, and comfortable for our patients.

A significant part of this position involves phlebotomy, laboratory operations, injections, patient preparation, and supporting daily clinical workflow. We are therefore looking for someone who is not simply comfortable drawing blood, but genuinely skilled at venipuncture and able to create a reassuring experience for patients who may be anxious about needles.

The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to prioritize responsibilities without sacrificing accuracy. You should enjoy being part of a close-knit team and understand how strong MA support allows the RN and Provider to remain focused on responsibilities that require their respective levels of licensure and training.

Because we are growing practice, flexibility is important. Workflows and responsibilities will evolve as patient volume and services expand.

Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture confidently, safely, and efficiently
Create and verify laboratory requisitions as assigned
Follow proper patient identification and specimen-labeling procedures
Understand and follow appropriate order of draw
Properly process laboratory specimens
Centrifuge specimens when indicated
Follow appropriate specimen storage, refrigeration, temperature, and handling requirements
Prepare specimens appropriately for laboratory pickup or transport
Maintain an organized and compliant laboratory environment
Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies and inventory
Administer provider-ordered IM and subcutaneous injections within training and scope
Obtain vital signs and prepare patients for clinical visits
Maintain accurate clinical documentation within the EMR
Prepare and stock treatment and procedure rooms
Assist the RN and Provider with procedures as appropriately trained and assigned
Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic
Communicate patient concerns or abnormal findings promptly to the appropriate licensed clinician
Maintain a calm, reassuring bedside manner, particularly with patients who are nervous about blood draws or injections
Work closely with the Patient Coordinator, RN, and Nurse Practitioner to support overall clinic operations

Required/Preferred Qualifications

Medical Assistant education, certification, registration, or equivalent applicable training
Prior hands-on medical-assisting experience strongly preferred
Strong venipuncture/phlebotomy experience strongly preferred
Experience administering injections preferred
Experience with laboratory specimen processing and handling preferred
EMR/EHR experience preferred
Experience in a busy medical office, hospital, specialty clinic, aesthetics, dermatology, plastic surgery, concierge medicine, men’s health, hormone optimization, or wellness setting is a plus
Procedure-assistance experience is a plus
PRP, regenerative medicine, aesthetics, or similar procedural experience is a plus
Patient service, concierge, or sales experience is a plus
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required
