Full Job Description

About the Role

A well-established behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment provider is hiring an experienced Director of Operations to oversee daily operations across two coastal Florida facilities (65 beds combined). The organization delivers a full continuum of care including detox, residential, PHP, and IOP services.

Reporting to the Executive Team, you will be the senior operator responsible for keeping both campuses running safely, compliantly, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily operations across both sites, including staffing, scheduling, 24/7 coverage, and on-call rotations.
Ensure survey readiness and ongoing compliance with state licensing, DEA, Joint Commission, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, ADA, and OSHA requirements.
Oversee facilities and vendor management — life safety, environment of care, preventive maintenance, vendor performance, and capital projects.
Own the operational budget and KPI tracking (census, occupancy, overtime, patient satisfaction), including variance analysis and reporting.
Directly manage the Operations Manager, Facilities Manager, Compliance Coordinator, Admissions Lead, and clinical scheduling staff.
Participate in the administrator-on-call rotation, serving as a decisive escalation point for clinical and facility emergencies.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field.
8–12 years of healthcare operations leadership experience, including a minimum of 5 years in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment.
Demonstrated experience leading Joint Commission surveys and Florida state licensing inspections.
Working knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and ASAM Criteria.
Proven track record managing facilities, vendor contracts, and operational budgets in a 24/7 residential care environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in a related discipline.
Multi-site operational leadership experience.
Active clinical license (RN, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LPC).

Schedule & Location

On-site across both Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast facilities.
Some evening, weekend, and holiday availability required to support 24/7 operations.
Must successfully pass a Level 2 background check and pre-employment drug screen.
