Full Job Description

Position Summary:

We are a fast-growing residential home service company and our operations need to match our ambition. Most of our pricing logic, scheduling decisions, and workflow knowledge currently lives in people's heads. That works when you’re small, it breaks down when you’re scaling. This role exists to change that.

Working directly with the President, you will embed yourself in day-to-day operations, learn how the business actually runs, and then build the systems, processes, and accountability structures that allow us to grow without breaking. This is a hands-on builder role. You will not be handed a playbook, you will write it.

What You Will Do

Operations & Process Building

Learn our pricing and scheduling operations firsthand . By doing the work, not just attending meetings.
Document all key workflows as clear, step-by-step SOPs that any new hire can learn from independently.
Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and bottlenecks in current processes and recommend practical fixes.
Build and maintain a central operations playbook covering pricing logic, scheduling rules, and system usage.
Support the review of jobs that fall outside the standard pricing matrix.

Performance & Efficiency

Track operational KPIs for scheduling efficiency, labor utilization, job costing, material cost and gross margins.
Flag performance issues and work with leadership to implement corrective actions.
Identify and surface operational improvements that increase consistency and profitability.

Team & Culture

Help establish clear expectations and accountability standards across roles.
Support coaching, training, and onboarding using the systems and documentation you create.
Contribute to building a team environment focused on communication, execution, and improvement.

Field Presence

Spend regular time in the field to understand how work actually gets done.
Conduct site visits and ride-alongs to identify operational inefficiencies firsthand.
Support field teams in following company standards for safety, quality, and customer service.

Customer & Relationship Support

Help resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and promptly.
Ensure the customer experience aligns with company standards and reputation.
Support relationship management with key clients and referral partners.

What We Are Looking For

Required

3+ years of experience in an operations, process improvement, coordinator, or similar role.
Experience building or contributing to SOPs, workflows, or process documentation, not just following them.
Comfortable working independently and figuring things out without a defined roadmap.
Strong written communication. Your documentation will be what others rely on.
Exposure to scheduling, pricing, or field service operations in a service-based business.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball.

Preferred

Experience in residential home services, pest control, pressure washing, landscaping, HVAC, or similar trades.
Familiarity with field service software such as ServiceTitan, or Service Fusion
Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets for basic tracking and reporting.
Has worked in a small or growing business where processes were still being built.

Customer satisfaction and field quality are measurably more consistent.
