Shift Availability

8AM-4PM, must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays
4PM-12AM, must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays

Who You Are

You aren't new to the "phones." You understand that behavioral health admissions is a delicate balance of crisis intervention, clinical screening, and logistical coordination. We are specifically looking for a professional with at least 2–3 years of experience in a high-volume behavioral health or substance use call center environment.

The right fit for this role:

The Seasoned Pro: You have handled thousands of calls and can identify the difference between a "discovery" call and an immediate crisis.
The Insurance Expert: You don't just know what a PPO is—you understand the nuances of VOBs, out-of-pocket maximums, and how to explain them to a worried family member.
The CRM Power User: You are accustomed to the "work-if-you-don't-log-it" mentality and move through Salesforce (or similar CRMs) with speed and accuracy.
The Empathetic Anchor: You maintain professional boundaries while providing the genuine warmth required to build instant rapport.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Advanced Inquiry Management: Respond to high-volume inquiries from individuals, families, and referral sources, utilizing your background to guide them toward the appropriate level of care.
Clinical Pre-Screening: Conduct thorough pre-admission interviews to assess clinical appropriateness, medical stability, and acuity for review by the clinical team.
Financial Navigation: Collaborate with the VOB team to relay complex insurance benefits (PPO/HMO/EPO) and financial responsibilities clearly and confidently.
Pipeline Optimization: Diligently manage your lead pipeline in Salesforce, ensuring consistent follow-up, scheduling tours, and hitting intake targets.
Cross-Departmental Synergy: Work seamlessly with Clinical, Nursing, and Operations to ensure all pre-admission logistics (travel, medical clearance, packing) are handled before the client arrives.
Crisis De-escalation: Utilize your experience to provide stabilization and support for callers in active distress.

Qualifications

Experience: 2–3 years of direct experience in a Behavioral Health/Substance Use admissions call center.
Technical Mastery: Proficiency in Salesforce (or similar CRM like Kipu or HubSpot) and Google Suite/Microsoft Office is essential.
Industry Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of the continuum of care (Detox, RTC, PHP, IOP) and the mental health industry landscape.
Lived Experience: Whether you have navigated your own journey (6-12 months+ of continuous sobriety preferred) or have personally supported a close friend or family member through the recovery process, your first-hand understanding of the challenges and triumphs of this path is a significant asset to our team.
Education: High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is highly preferred.
Communication: Elite verbal and written skills. You must be able to move fluidly between "clinical talk" with the team and "heart talk" with the client.
