Full Job Description

Role Description The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Sunrise, FL, responsible for overseeing all day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities for Pure Green. This role manages the monthly close process, prepares and reviews financial statements, and ensures accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards. The Financial Controller monitors cash flow, budgets, and forecasts, and provides analytical insights to support strategic decision-making, franchise operations, and wholesale growth. Daily responsibilities include supervising accounting entries, reconciling accounts, improving internal controls and financial processes, and partnering with leadership to develop financial policies and performance metrics. The role also involves coordinating with external auditors, managing tax and regulatory filings, and supporting the implementation of financial systems and tools as the company scales.

Qualifications

Strong accounting foundation, including hands-on experience with Accounting practices and preparation of Financial Statements.
Proficiency in Finance and Financial Reporting, with the ability to interpret results and communicate insights to non-financial stakeholders.
Advanced Analytical Skills to analyze trends, monitor KPIs, and support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making.
Experience implementing and maintaining robust internal controls and financial policies.
Proficiency with accounting and ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and strong Excel skills. Needs to be an Excel expert.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Prior experience as a Financial Controller or senior accounting/finance leader, ideally in multi-location retail, franchise, CPG, or food and beverage environments.
Ability to work on-site in Sunrise, FL, collaborate cross-functionally, and manage competing priorities in a fast-growing company.
Demonstrated integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement.
Interest in or passion for health, wellness, and mission-driven brands is highly beneficial.
All candidates have to have up to 5 years manufacturing accounting experience
Comfortable in a family office environment
