Full Job Description

At True North, you'll actually get to know your patients—not just their chart, but their story. You'll use the full range of your clinical skills, work side-by-side with your physicians as a real partner in their care, and be part of a patient's health beyond a single appointment.

You won't just be helping move patients through the system. You'll be helping care for them.

White Bear Lake, MN | 0.5–0.7 FTE (20–28 hrs/week)

Our growing Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice in White Bear Lake, MN is looking for an experienced Clinical Medical Assistant who wants to be part of building something different: no coding pressure, no insurance-driven pace—just good medicine and patients who are genuinely glad to see you.

What You'll Do

As our Clinical Medical Assistant, you'll work closely with our physicians to provide exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include:

Rooming patients and assisting with clinical visits
Performing blood draws and other phlebotomy, injections, vital signs, and EKGs
Assisting with in-office procedures
Coordinating patient care, referrals, and follow-up
Managing inventory and maintaining exam rooms
Communicating with patients through our secure portal, phone, and email
Helping create an exceptional patient experience from start to finish

Because we're a small and growing practice, you'll also have opportunities to help improve workflows, develop new systems, and contribute ideas that make our clinic even better.

We're Looking for Someone With

A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential and at least 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience
Strong, confident phlebotomy skills—you'll be handling the majority of our blood draws independently, which lets our physicians stay focused on patient visits
Excellent clinical skills and high attention to detail
The ability to think outside the box rather than needing a protocol for everything
Initiative—you see something that needs to be done and take ownership of it
A desire to be part of a small, collaborative team
Excitement about helping us build and improve our practice as we grow

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required
At least 1-2 years of clinical experience with demonstrated phlebotomy proficiency required
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable using electronic medical records and technology
Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
