Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook/Dishwasher to join our vibrant culinary team! This multifaceted role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring high-quality food preparation, impeccable sanitation, and seamless service. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and a passion for food to help deliver exceptional dining experiences. Whether you’re passionate about culinary arts or eager to develop your skills in food handling and safety, this position provides a rewarding platform to grow within the food industry.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assist with food production according to menu specifications, including techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and knife skills.
Support the kitchen team in high-volume food preparation and meal assembly for various service styles, including catering and fine dining.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Assist with dishwashing duties, ensuring all utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools are properly cleaned and sanitized for continuous use.
Help with menu planning and ingredient organization to streamline food service operations.
Support the culinary team during peak hours by managing food handling tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
Follow all food safety management protocols and contribute to a positive, team-oriented kitchen atmosphere.

Experience

Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred.
Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary needs and meal prep procedures.
Proven skills in food preparation techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and general cooking are essential.
Strong understanding of food safety practices, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling is required.
Experience with high-volume production settings or catering environments will be advantageous.
Knowledge of menu planning and culinary operations in fine dining settings is desirable.
Candidates should possess excellent knife skills, attention to detail in food presentation, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
