Are you a driven sales professional who knows how to create opportunity, build trusted relationships, and turn those relationships into measurable business growth?

Home Instead is seeking a dynamic, outgoing, and goal-oriented Business Development Advisor to grow our private-pay business throughout Monongalia, Marion, and Harrison Counties.

This is an exciting opportunity for a true business development professional who enjoys opening doors, developing referral partnerships, uncovering needs, generating new business, and confidently asking for the referral.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable building business in a territory where opportunity may not always be obvious. Success in this role requires curiosity, persistence, creativity, to help community partners recognize when Home Instead may be the right solution.

If you are energized by meeting new people, developing a territory, identifying opportunities, and exceeding sales goals while making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults and their families, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do:

Develop and grow a strong referral network by building lasting relationships with physicians, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, senior living communities, social workers, and other community partners.
Own the growth of your assigned territory by identifying high-potential referral sources, uncovering new opportunities, and implementing strategies that generate private-pay referrals.
Execute a structured weekly sales plan that supports territory growth and achievement of individual sales goals.
Generate referrals through targeted prospecting, networking, community outreach, cold calling, presentations, and consistent follow-up.
Move referral relationships toward measurable business by asking thoughtful questions, identifying unmet needs, and confidently asking for referrals.
Conduct in-home consultations with prospective clients and their families to understand their care needs and present personalized Home Instead care solutions.
Monitor results and adjust sales strategies to meet sales goals.
Maintain accurate sales activities, opportunities, and follow-up tasks within Salesforce.
Represent Home Instead at networking events, health fairs, educational presentations, and other community events.

We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:

A proven business developer who has experience growing new business—not simply maintaining existing accounts.
A relationship builder who knows how to turn trust into referrals and measurable results.
Comfortable entering an underdeveloped territory and creating momentum.
Persistent and resilient when hearing “no,” “not right now,” or “we don’t have anyone today.”
Confident asking for the business while remaining genuine, professional, and relationship focused.
Results-driven and accountable for achieving and exceeding sales goals.
Able to evaluate what is and is not working and adjust strategy accordingly.
A self-starter who can independently manage a territory while also collaborating closely with the internal team.
Organized, motivated, and comfortable using CRM systems such as Salesforce.

Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years of successful outside sales or business development experience, preferably in healthcare, home care, senior services, or another relationship-driven industry.
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and growing a sales territory or book of business.
Experience developing new referral sources, opening new accounts, or converting cold relationships into business.
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
