Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) | Travel Assignment

Department: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Type: Travel Contract
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (August 30, 2026 – November 28, 2026)
Start Date: August 30, 2026
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $55
Shift: Days – 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Weekend Rotation: Call Rotation Required
On-Call: Required

About the Role

MedOp Solutions is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This opportunity is ideal for an OR nurse with dedicated cardiovascular surgical experience who excels in a fast-paced surgical environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional perioperative patient care.

The ideal candidate will have recent CVOR experience and be comfortable assisting with a variety of complex cardiovascular procedures while collaborating with a multidisciplinary surgical team.

Department Information

The Cardiovascular Operating Room performs a variety of complex cardiac and vascular procedures requiring highly skilled perioperative nursing care.

Procedures May Include

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
Heart valve repair and replacement
Aortic procedures
Vascular surgery
Open-heart procedures
Additional cardiovascular surgical interventions

Key Responsibilities

Circulate cardiovascular surgical procedures
Prepare operating rooms and specialized surgical equipment
Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, perfusionists, surgical technologists, and perioperative staff
Monitor patient safety before, during, and after surgery
Maintain accurate intraoperative documentation
Ensure compliance with infection prevention and perioperative standards
Respond effectively during emergent cardiovascular procedures

Qualifications

Required

Active Registered Nurse license
Recent CVOR nursing experience
Current BLS Certification
Current ACLS Certification
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and perioperative nursing standards

Preferred

Previous travel nursing experience
Experience with complex cardiac and vascular surgical cases

Technology & Equipment

Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Advanced cardiovascular surgical equipment
Intraoperative monitoring systems
Standard operating room instrumentation

Orientation

Facility-specific orientation and unit onboarding provided prior to the start of the assignment

Scheduling & Expectations

13-week assignment
Day shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
On-call requirements include:
- Five (5) weekday 16-hour call shifts during each four-week schedule
- Two (2) full weekend call assignments (48 hours each) during each four-week schedule
Holiday call coverage required based on department scheduling
Full-time hours
