Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent patient care skills, and a passion for providing top-notch eye care in a bustling urban environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered practice with opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages.
Diagnose and treat visual conditions, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
Prescribe corrective lenses (glasses and contact lenses) based on individual patient needs.
Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries (if applicable).
Manage and treat ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
Educate patients on proper eye care and the use of corrective lenses.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Collaborate with our team of ophthalmologists, opticians, and support staff to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Stay current on advancements in optometry and attend continuing education as required.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
Valid New York State Optometrist license (or ability to obtain).
Strong clinical skills and experience in diagnosing and treating eye conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Experience interpreting advanced optometry technologies (e.g., OCT, fundus photography) is a plus.
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus but not required.
