Job Details:

Job Title: Machinist 3

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: Lake Charles, LA (Onsite)

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4x10

Shift: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM–4:42 PM OR 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM–2:42 AM

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, shapers, and other machine tools.
Machine metal parts and components to exacting tolerances and specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
Determine machining sequences, tooling, feeds, speeds, and required cuts.
Use precision measuring instruments and machinist hand tools.
Perform standard shop calculations and inspect finished parts for accuracy.
Fit and assemble precision mechanical components.
Follow quality control procedures and maintain safe work practices.

Basic Qualifications:

6+ years of machinist experience.
CNC machining experience, preferably operating HAAS or FANUC equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
Experience using precision measuring tools.
Ability to work either 1st or 2nd shift.
Must be able to work overtime, including weekends, as required.

Pay: $36.00 - $42.00 per hour

Experience:

Machine operation: 6 years (Required)
CNC milling machine : 3 years (Required)
read blueprints and engineering drawings: 4 years (Required)
HAAS OR Fanuk: 3 years (Required)

Work Location: In person
