Full Job Description

Position Summary

PSI Repair Services is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to receive, inspect, document, and route industrial equipment entering our Livonia repair facility.

This position is responsible for opening incoming shipments, confirming the equipment received, recording identifying information and visible condition, entering each unit accurately into our Epicor ERP system, and directing it to the appropriate repair department.

This is a hands-on position that combines warehouse receiving, computer data entry, and careful handling of customer-owned equipment. The strongest candidate will work accurately, stay organized, communicate discrepancies promptly, and maintain an orderly receiving area.

Essential Responsibilities

Receive incoming shipments and compare the contents with packing slips, purchase orders, and available shipping documentation.
Safely unpack electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment of varying sizes and configurations.
Identify and record part numbers, serial numbers, quantities, customer information, and other required unit details.
Inspect incoming equipment and packaging for visible damage, missing components, shipping discrepancies, or other unusual conditions.
Accurately enter each received unit and its condition into the Epicor ERP system.
Photograph or otherwise document equipment and shipping damage when required.
Apply identification labels and maintain traceability of customer-owned equipment.
Route received units to the correct repair department, including Electronics or Shop/Hydraulics.
Notify the appropriate personnel of damaged shipments, shortages, incorrect documentation, or unidentified equipment.
Maintain an organized receiving area and prevent equipment, paperwork, and customer information from becoming separated.
Follow established procedures for handling electronic and other sensitive industrial equipment.
Coordinate with customer service, operations, purchasing, and repair personnel to resolve receiving questions.
Assist with other receiving, material-handling, and warehouse duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data-entry accuracy.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn an ERP system.
Ability to read packing slips, labels, purchase orders, and part-identification information.
Ability to organize and manage multiple incoming units without losing documentation or traceability.
Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to communicate clearly when information, parts, or documentation do not match.
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, unpack shipments, and perform other physical receiving duties during the workday.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous receiving, shipping, warehouse, inventory, or material-handling experience.
Experience entering receiving or inventory transactions into an ERP system.
Experience with Epicor or a comparable manufacturing ERP system.
Experience handling customer-owned, technical, electronic, mechanical, or industrial equipment.
Familiarity with part numbers, serial numbers, work orders, or inventory-control procedures.

Recognize and report discrepancies before equipment moves into production.
Keep the receiving area orderly and prevent delays caused by missing information.
Handle customer-owned equipment carefully and professionally.
Work cooperatively with receiving, customer service, operations, and repair personnel.

Pay: $24.66 - $29.70 per hour
