Company Overview

Well Established full service Italian Restaurant located in the heart of Oak Park.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled PASTA SAUTE and some GRILL cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious meats, fish, pastas that meet our high standards of quality and taste, contributing to memorable dining experiences for our clients.

Responsibilities

WORK SCHEDULE. START 3PM-END 9:30PM. WEEKENDS AND SUNDAYS REQUIRED. 5 NIGHTS A WEEK
Prepare a variety of MEATS, FISH and PASTA according to established recipes and customer preferences.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored to maintain food safety standards.
Manage GRILL and SAUTE cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area during food preparation.
Assist in inventory management by tracking ingredient supplies and placing orders as needed.
Stay updated on food trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings.

Requirements

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant environment, specifically with grill and sauté
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment.
Creative mindset with a passion for food presentation.
YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR HIGH VOLUME EXPERIENCE
