Full Job Description

Join a Growing Property Management Company!

Preferred Property Management, LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team in Pembroke Pines.

This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong accounting background, excellent organizational skills, and prior experience working in the property management industry. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have experience using AppFolio Property Management Software.

Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments
Review invoices for proper coding and approvals
Maintain vendor records and accounts payable files
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Process check runs and electronic payments
Assist with month-end closing procedures
Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries
Monitor outstanding invoices and payment schedules
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
Support the accounting department with additional financial and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable experience
Property Management, HOA, Condominium, or Real Estate industry experience required
Experience using AppFolio or Property Management Software is a plus
Strong understanding of accounts payable procedures and accounting principles
Experience with invoice processing, vendor management, and account reconciliations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Schedule

Monday through Friday
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
In-office position located in Pembroke Pines, Florida
