Full Job Description

Job Title: Clinical Supervisor

Classification: Professional Full-time, Exempt

Summary: Responsible for providing consistent supervision to clinical staff and registered interns, as well as supporting the Behavioral Health Director in developing the clinical department through personnel and quality assurance tasks, such as evaluation and auditing, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and other staff requirements. Responsible for supporting the Behavioral Health Director with billing support, as well as in data collection and grant administration requirements and reporting. Responsible for maintaining a small caseload and ensuring high standards of quality care in a cost-effective fashion and in compliance with applicable federal, state, and ethical regulations. Responsible for assisting the Behavioral Health Director with strategies to allow for continued departmental growth and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

Supervise assigned staff (LCSW, LMFT, and LMHC, student/registered interns) to include interviewing, hiring, addressing performance and conduct concerns, productivity and performance management, training, coaching, timecard approvals, co-signatures on necessary documents, and any other employee-related actions.
Support crisis calls, client crises and exceptional incidents.
Conducts clinical QA/QI (Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement) activities designed to implement ways to improve agency’s clinical care and operations.
Monitors adherence to HIPAA and CARF regulations and takes appropriate action for non-compliance.
Works with the Director of Behavioral Health and the billing specialist to manage insurance billing-related issues.
Works with credentialing team to ensure timely provider documentation as to maximize reimbursement from 3rd party payers.
Collects/reviews data regarding staff productivity and recommends processes' changes to maximize workflow and operations' effectiveness.
Manages grant required systems, collects data necessary to ensure adherence to grant requirements and supports the Behavioral Health Director in grant reporting needs.
Support administrative needs related to Electronic Health Record system.
Provide direct clinical service to a small caseload (average 10-15 clients per week).
Performs any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Demonstrates accountability and commitment to completing responsibilities in a timely and thorough manner, including flexibility to meet organizational needs when priorities require.

Qualifications:

Licensed by the State of Florida Department of Health (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT).
Minimum of 5 years of postgraduate experience, including a minimum of 2 years of fiscal, administrative & supervisory experience.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and mentor clinical staff and collaborate with diverse individuals across all levels of the organization.
Experience in program and project management, experience working with multiple funders, with knowledge of the funder reporting requirements.
Knowledge and experience in trauma-informed care.
Knowledge of individual, family, and group evidence-based therapy modalities.
Knowledge of community resources is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity working with EHR software.
A valid Florida’s driver’s license and car insurance.
