Payroll Clerk –
Brundage-Bone Concrete Pumping; Thornton, CO – IN‑OFFICE POSITION
Pay Range: $24.00–$26.00/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (OT as needed)

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assisting with company‑wide payroll processing and distribution. The role is full‑time, onsite in our Thornton office, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, with occasional overtime required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain confidentiality at all times
Process weekly hours and earnings data in the ADP payroll system, including garnishments, benefits, taxes, bonus payments, etc.
Wire direct deposits and distribute payroll checks to the appropriate work locations.
Uploading timecards experience preferred.
Communicate actively with HR, Finance, and Operations to reconcile cross‑departmental data.
Ensure payroll systems are accurately maintained for wages, benefits, sick/vacation time (union and non‑union).
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax and benefit deductions, etc.).
Respond to payroll inquiries from management and employees in a positive, prompt, and courteous manner.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Ability to work overtime as required.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

This position does not supervise other employees.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

1–2 years of documented payroll processing experience, preferably in a large multi‑state company.
Experience with ADP highly preferred.
Understanding of general payroll policy, government regulations, and tax requirements.
Solid knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws.
Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills; ability to create spreadsheets.
Must type at least 50 wpm and have 10‑key proficiency.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong math, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication; strong relationship‑building skills; excellent phone etiquette.
Dependable, punctual, mature, and accountable.
Highly organized with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize competing demands

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Indoor office environment with extended periods of sitting and computer use.
Occasional lifting of office supplies or materials.
