Full Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and organized Appointment Coordinator to join our Dental team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth flow of daily operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical or dental setting and possess strong communication skills with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department and/or individual
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Read insurance estimates, verify insurance information, and process patient forms
- Update patient records through electronic practice management software (DSN)
- Assist with patient registration, patient check-in & check-out processing protocols
- Coordinate with medical team daily to ensure efficient patient flow
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information about services offered
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area at all times

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical or Dental Receptionist/Appointment Coordinator
- Familiarity with dental terminology (dental coding a plus!)
- Proficiency in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Strong interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively with patients, teammates, referrals, specialists and visitors
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to assess & adapt to shifting priorities to enhance productivity & reduce stress
- Efficient time management skills
- Knowledge of dental scheduling software is desirable

Note: All positions at our company are paid positions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
