Summary/Objective
Maintaining and improving the Quality System, production processes and overall product quality in the
company and at suppliers.
Essential Functions

1. Implementation of quality planning (APQP and initial sampling)
2. Supplier coordination- PPAP approval, conduct audits, issue reclamations, issue charge backs, etc.
3. Examination of laboratory and measurement reports and initiation of appropriate measures
4. Preparation, supervision, and closure of customer audits
5. Implementation and monitoring of countermeasures
6. Read and interpret engineering drawing, standards, and specifications
7. Create the required inspection documents for auditors
8. Oversee customer and supplier visits
9. Participation in and managing of quality and customer projects
10. Implementation of internal audits
11. Engineering change implementation and monitoring
12. Tool, process, and gauge buy offs
13. PPAP submission to customers
14. Participation in FMEA, Control Plans, Process Flows, and other process documentation
Competencies
1. English language skills (written and spoken)
2. German language skills (written and spoken) preferred but not required
3. Spanish language skills (written and spoken) preferred but not required
Supervisory Responsibility
No direct Supervisory responsibility. During sorting and team activities it is expected of the Quality Engineer to
lead and supervise all activities and play a leading role.

Travel
Domestic and International occasional travel.
Required Education and Experience
1. 2 years minimum Automotive Industry experience
2. 2 years minimum Quality related Field
3. GD & T experience
4. Auditing experience
5. Must be proficient in MS Office
6. CATIA/CAD or similar experience required
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Degree in Quality Systems or Engineering or similar field preferred but not required
2. Experience in the use of SAP ERP
3. Metal and metal forming process experience
4. Resistance/Projection/Laser/Drawn Arc welding and Brazing experience
5. Hot Forming and laser cutting experience
