Job Title: Medical Receptionist

Locations: Waterford, Bloomfield Hills, White Lake

Position Type: Full-time

Job Description:
CoreMed Plus is seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team across multiple locations in Waterford, Bloomfield Hills, and White Lake. You would have a "home base" location but may need to cover shifts or relocate as needed. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
Verify insurance coverage and work with PA specialist to obtain necessary authorizations
Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, specifically Athena, to maintain patient records and update information accurately
Assist with clinical tasks as needed, including but not limited to rooming patients, taking vitals, and documenting medical history
Collaborate with medical staff/providers to ensure efficient patient flow and satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk area and waiting room
Flexibility to cover shifts at other locations as required

Requirements:

Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
Strong time management and organizational abilities
Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically Athena (may need to utilize Practice Fusion, Epic, and NextGen EMR for historical medical records)
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a dynamic environment
Willingness to assist with Medical Assistant duties as needed
