Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, assisting with menu planning, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. Your culinary expertise and passion for food will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, food safety management, and kitchen operations within a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
Assist with meal preparation, ensuring timely and accurate food service during busy hours
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and fryers
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment in compliance with safety standards
Support menu planning by suggesting improvements and ensuring ingredient availability
Follow food handling procedures to ensure food safety and prevent cross-contamination
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate orders and maintain smooth workflow

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or culinary roles, including dietary aide or dietary department experience preferred
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including slicing, portioning, and recipe adherence
Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and proper food handling practices
Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment
Experience with catering or restaurant settings is a plus
Demonstrated knife skills and slicing techniques for efficient meal prep
Knowledge of food safety management systems and compliance with health regulations
Passion for the food industry with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
