Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial concepts, with experience in payroll and accounts payable ,and familiarity with various accounting software. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payments, and supporting overall financial operations within the organization.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable activities
Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed
Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Google Sheets for data entry and management
Support payroll management and benefits administration functions as required
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and governmental accounting standards
Conduct journal entries and maintain general ledger accounting practices
Assist with tax-related documentation and reporting as necessary

Qualifications

Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role within corporate or non-profit accounting environments
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP, PeopleSoft) and financial software applications
Strong understanding of financial concepts, including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation
Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy (10 key typing proficiency preferred)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively
Knowledge of governmental accounting principles is advantageous
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
