Part-Time Personal & Administrative Assistant (Hybrid)

Wichita Dental Co. | Wichita, KS

Our owners have a long list of projects they want to finish and not enough hours to finish them. Wichita Dental Co. is a family-run dental practice on the west side of Wichita, and like most owners who spend their days chairside, ours took over the practice in 2023 with big plans and limited time. We are looking for someone to take that list off their plate so they stop being the bottleneck.

The work is a real mix. Some of it is project-based, like improving how new patients experience their first call and first visit. We treat our patients like family, and we want every step of that experience to feel personal and unrushed. Some of it is the steady behind-the-scenes work that keeps an office running: keeping our marketing and social media active, ordering gifts for the team, booking flights and travel, and making sure the office never runs out of what it needs, right down to the toilet paper. To be straightforward, personal errands for our owners are a regular part of this role: returns, grocery pickup, and now and then prepping a simple meal during a busy week. You would also cross-train on front office tasks so you can step in where needed. You will not do all of this every week; the mix shifts with what the office needs.

This is a role for someone creative, well organized, and detail-oriented who thinks a step ahead and takes initiative rather than waiting to be told. You would be joining a close, team-oriented office where everyone pitches in. No job here is too big or too small. Our owners take out the trash when it needs taking out, and we want someone who works the same way.

What the day-to-day can look like

Improving the new patient experience from first call to first visit
Keeping our marketing and social media active, including simple graphics and posts
Ordering team gifts and helping with office celebrations
Booking flights and travel
Running personal errands like returns and grocery pickup, with occasional simple meal prep during busy weeks
Keeping office supplies stocked and catching the small things before they run out
Cross-training on front office tasks to provide backup when needed

What you need to bring

Strong organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail
Strong tech skills and the ability to pick up new software quickly
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
A good sense of marketing and social media
Reliability, discretion, and follow-through
A team-oriented, willing attitude toward any task, big or small

Nice to have

Experience with Canva
Background in a dental or medical office

The details

This is a part-time hybrid role, 15 to 20 hours a week, starting at $23 to $25 an hour depending on experience. In-office days are Tuesday and Thursday, with the remaining hours flexible. For the right person, this can grow into a full-time position with benefits.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
