Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Meadowlark Adult Care Home team. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized nursing care to adult residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and health needs are met with professionalism and compassion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents while working in a supportive environment.

Duties

Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders and care plans
Monitor residents’ vital signs, assess health status, and document findings in electronic health records (EHR systems)
Provide wound care, including dressing changes and infection control measures
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans
Educate residents and their families on health management, medication use, and safety protocols
Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations, HIPAA confidentiality policies, and safety standards

Requirements

Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current certification in good standing
Experience working with geriatric patients in long-term care or a home plus setting preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs assessment, and basic life support (BLS) certification required
Strong communication skills for caregiver collaboration and client interaction
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, transferring residents using Hoyer lifts, and maintaining aseptic techniques
