About us

Unova ASC is a small business in Lady Lake, FL. We are a modern multi-specialty Outpatient Surgery Center. Our goal is to provide exceptional care to our community, while creating an engaging and rewarding culture for our employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
Communicates with surgeon's offices to schedule surgical patients, retrieve records and documents necessary for surgery, follow up with missing items, and coordinate block scheduling.
Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries.
Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the reception area.
Ensures availability of surgery information by filing and retrieving patient records.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.
Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information. Always follow HIPAA & OSHA compliance
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Team player, positive attitude. ability to empathize

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Surgical Information Systems (SIS) experience preferred
Answer phones, telephone skills
Customer Service & professionalism
Time Management & organization skills
Scheduling, check in/check out
Obtaining insurance authorizations and referrals
Multi Tasking

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma/GED required
Previous experience as a medical receptionist/ surgery scheduler preferred
Familiar with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Experienced at insurance referrals and authorizations preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
