Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Information Technology Purchasing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you manage vendor relationships, and oversee the procurement of technology products and services. Your expertise in contract negotiation, ERP systems, and market research will ensure that our organization secures the best value while maintaining compliance with procurement policies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence enterprise-wide technology sourcing strategies and optimize supply chain operations through innovative procurement practices.

Duties

Lead end-to-end procurement processes for technology categories, including hardware, software, and IT services, utilizing automated procurement systems and e-procurement platforms.
Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, evaluate supplier capabilities, and benchmark pricing to inform sourcing strategies.
Manage vendor contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms, compliance with legal standards, and alignment with organizational goals.
Oversee vendor relationship management by evaluating supplier performance, resolving issues promptly, and fostering strategic partnerships.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as IT, finance, legal, and supply chain to develop enterprise solutions and implement effective sourcing strategies.
Utilize SAP, Oracle ERP systems, and data analysis skills to monitor procurement activities, analyze spend data, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure adherence to information security standards during procurement activities and maintain detailed records of contracts and procurement transactions.

Experience

Proven experience in IT purchasing or technology category management within a large organization or enterprise environment.
Strong background in contract management, including negotiation of technology contracts and vendor agreements.
Demonstrated ability to purchase technology hardware/software with the ability to lead multiple job quotes simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle for procurement processing and data analysis.
Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and supply chain operations related to technology procurement.
Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration and vendor negotiations.
Knowledge of automated procurement systems like e-procurement tools and supply chain management platforms is highly desirable.
