Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead and manage our facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will oversee the upkeep and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across our facilities. Your leadership will ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise and management skills to maintain optimal operational efficiency and a safe working environment.

Maintenance SupervisorPosition Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and ensure safe, efficient facility operations. This role provides leadership to maintenance technicians and contractors while overseeing preventive and predictive maintenance programs for manufacturing equipment, building systems, and facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, HVAC, and facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise, schedule, and lead maintenance technicians and contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, HVAC, plumbing, and facility systems.
Prioritize maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production efficiency.
Coordinate maintenance support with production, engineering, quality, and operations teams.
ssist with the installation, startup, commissioning, and continuous improvement oAf new equipment and facility systems.
Develop and maintain preventive maintenance procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintenance best practices.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, equipment history, and compliance documentation within the CMMS.
Manage spare parts inventory, maintenance supplies, and maintenance budgets to ensure cost-effective operations.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose equipment issues.
Utilize diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, ohmmeters, and other troubleshooting tools.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, environmental requirements, and industry standards.
Conduct routine facility and equipment inspections, safety audits, and corrective action follow-up.
Train, mentor, coach, and evaluate maintenance personnel while promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Recommend equipment upgrades, process improvements, and reliability initiatives to improve overall plant performance.
Technical Skills
Mechanical systems

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, packaging, or other high-volume industrial environments.
OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM).
Knowledge of maintenance planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Electrical systems (480V/3-phase preferred)
PLC troubleshooting and basic programming knowledge
Hydraulics and pneumatics
Welding and fabrication
Conveyor systems
Motors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, and bearings
HVAC and facility systems
Plumbing systems
Preventive and predictive maintenance
CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
Proficient with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment

Work Environment

Manufacturing and industrial production environment.
Ability to work around moving machinery, electrical equipment, and varying temperatures.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, and respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on-call schedules when required.
