MTK Healthcare INC is Hiring – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Devils Lake Hospital – Devils Lake, ND
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3x12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts
Pay Rate: $78.00–$88.00 per Hour

Job Summary

MTK Healthcare INC is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment at Devils Lake Hospital in Devils Lake, North Dakota. The Registered Nurse will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures, and clinical protocols while delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to mothers and newborns. The nurse will collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure positive patient outcomes and safe discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
Identify and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and deteriorating patient conditions.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care.
Delegate nursing responsibilities appropriately within the scope of practice.
Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in North Dakota or a Compact (Multistate) RN License.
Minimum of two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Current STABLE Certification.
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Facility: Devils Lake Hospital
Address: 1031 Seventh Street NE, Devils Lake, ND 58201

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3x12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week
Pay Rate: $78.00–$88.00 per Hour
