Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our Zaxby's team. The ideal candidate will stay focused, monitor accuracy, be quick and willing to improve on the job. You will be able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules for the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed at all times.
Utilize kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages as necessary.
Assist in front-of-house operations as necessary.
Unpack and store incoming inventory orders.
Report to management when equipment is malfunctioning.
Clean and maintaining equipment.

Requirements

Be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. over head
Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry.
Strong skills in meal preparation and food handling.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that satisfy customer expectations.
