Inbound Call Center Representative

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 to $23.00 per hour

You're not making cold calls. You're helping people who already need you.

We're adding an Inbound Call Center Representative to our Wilmington team. Customers will contact you with questions, requests, and problems they need help solving. Your job is to listen, get to the heart of what they need, and help move things forward.

You don't need call center experience to get started. We'll provide paid training on our systems, services, and processes. What matters most is that you communicate well, stay patient, and are comfortable talking with different people throughout the day.

What Happens When the Phone Rings?

You'll answer incoming calls and take ownership of the conversation from there.

A customer might need help understanding something on their account. Someone else may be checking the status of a request. Another person might be frustrated because something hasn't gone as expected.

You'll ask questions, look into the situation, explain the available options, and resolve what you can during the call. When something needs specialist attention, you'll make sure it reaches the right team.

You'll also:

Access and update customer accounts while speaking with callers
Provide accurate information about products, services, and policies
Document conversations and actions clearly
Handle routine questions and service concerns
Follow privacy and customer verification procedures
Escalate issues that require additional support
Work with teammates when a customer situation needs a second set of eyes

What Matters More Than Call Center Experience

Being comfortable on the phone is important, but we're not looking for someone who sounds like they're reading a script.

We're looking for someone who listens.

Someone who can explain things simply, keep their cool when a customer is frustrated, and move between conversations without losing attention to detail.

If you've worked in retail, restaurants, hospitality, reception, customer service, or another role where you've dealt with the public, you may already have many of the skills you need.

Previous call center experience is helpful, but not required.

The Details

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Pay: $19.00 to $23.00 per hour
Employment: Full-time
Training: Paid

Eligible employees may receive health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and opportunities to progress into more experienced customer support positions.
