Full Job Description

We make cakes and desserts for several well-known and highly respected social venues in New England – venues who expect the best and chose our company because we are passionate about what we make.

We’re looking for an experienced pastry cook/baker to assemble and finish seasonal plated desserts and mini pastries. If you have superior quality workmanship, clean work habits, a positive, “can do” attitude, and understands the importance of clear communication and the sense of urgency that comes with meeting production deadlines. You should have a current ServSafe certification. Culinary education preferred but not required. (Candidates may be invited to do a four-hour stage as part of a second interview.)

This position requires a reliable, dependable self-starter. You review the day's production list, prioritize the work, keep a status on completed items/orders, assemble/finish desserts and pastries, as well as making pastry staples such as Italian Meringue buttercream, pastry cream, fruit curds. As a team, we help one another get the job done to our client's satisfaction so a positive attitude and good communication are essential.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 to 3:30 or 8 to 4. We are flexible about start/end times.

Compensation is based on skill and experience and includes paid holidays, 3 sick days and after 1 year, 5 days paid vacation.
