Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper who can manage day-to-day financial transactions and provide light administrative support to ensure smooth office operations. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, professional who enjoys working with numbers, improving processes, and supporting a small team environment.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, to ensure accuracy in bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation, P&L, cash flow, A/R, and A/P.
Prepare and process journal entries transactions, bank reconciliations, and payroll documentation with precision.
Perform monthly bank and CC reconciliations.
Assist with budgeting processes by tracking expenses and supporting financial report writing to provide clear insights into organizational financial health.
Support corporate and non-profit accounting functions by ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting standards.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis to verify data integrity across financial systems.
Handle tax-related tasks including preparing documentation for tax filings and supporting audit processes when necessary.
Perform administrative duties such as managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, maintaining filing systems, and coordinating office supplies.
Utilize technical accounting skills to analyze accounts, prepare detailed reports, and assist in financial planning activities.
Execute 10 key typing tasks efficiently to support data entry needs.
Collaborate with team members on special projects related to budgeting or financial analysis to enhance organizational efficiency.

Skills

,Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, and other financial management tools.
Strong understanding of accounting principles such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger management.
Experience with governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices.
Knowledge of financial concepts including account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax experience.
Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation accurately and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with technical accounting tasks such as account analysis and budget management.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating across departments.
Competence in using various financial software platforms along with basic office tools like MS Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to perform 10 key typing tasks swiftly for data entry accuracy. Qualifications:

Bookkeeping/accounting experience (preferably in a small business environment).
Proficiency
in accounting software (Quickbooks Online preferred).
Strong Understanding of GAAP and basic financial reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general office technology.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.

Preferred:

Experience supporting administrative or office coordination tasks.
Familiarity with manufacturing, service-based, or small business environments.
Knowledge of payroll systems (e.g. Quickbooks Online, payroll)
