Full Job Description

Job Type: Contract (4-6 weeks with possibility of extension)
Location: Open to anywhere in the US - candidate will need to be on-site in Mexico (All expenses paid for the stay in Mexico)
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Compensation: $60/hr - $75/hr (DOE)
Benefits: Vision, Medical, Dental while on contract

Sanford Rose JFSPartners is partnering with a confidential organization to identify a seasoned Tax Manager for a high-impact engagement supporting tax operations in Mexico. The successful candidate will provide technical tax expertise, lead key compliance activities, and collaborate with internal leadership to drive operational excellence and business continuity.

Responsibilities:

Partner with finance and tax leadership to establish priorities, manage competing deadlines, and provide updates on ongoing initiatives.
Prepare and maintain tax calculations, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and other documentation required for compliance and reporting.
Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks or challenges, and communicate recommendations to ensure timely resolution.
Foster collaboration with the existing Mexico finance and tax teams to support business continuity and efficient operations.
Review work performed by team members to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate day-to-day tax activities, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and aligned with business objectives.
Provide guidance, oversight, and support to temporary or project-based tax staff while helping balance workloads and priorities.
Assist in documenting processes, sharing knowledge, and supporting smooth transitions to strengthen long-term team effectiveness.
Contribute to continuous process improvements and participate in special projects that enhance the overall tax function.
Ensure all assigned Mexico tax responsibilities are completed accurately and within established timelines.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate tax, with a strong foundation in tax compliance and reporting.
Professional fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal settings.
Proven knowledge of Mexico's tax regulations, filings, and compliance requirements.
Demonstrated ability to oversee tax-related projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams and business partners.
Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment and adapting to shifting business needs.
Must be available to work on-site in Mexico for the full duration of the engagement. ALL EXPENSES PAID
