Join Our Team

We are a growing behavioral health organization seeking a highly organized, personable, and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team. This position plays a critical role in provider credentialing, onboarding, payer enrollment, and provider support.

The ideal candidate will have healthcare credentialing experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships with providers, insurance companies, regulatory agencies, and internal departments. This individual will serve as a key resource for new providers and will help ensure a smooth onboarding and credentialing experience from start to finish.

This is an in-office position that works closely with leadership, billing, and hiring teams to support organizational growth and provider success.

Key Responsibilities Provider Credentialing

Coordinate commercial insurance and Medicaid credentialing for healthcare providers.
Process initial credentialing, recredentialing, and provider enrollment applications.
Monitor credentialing timelines and ensure all requirements are completed timely.
Work directly with insurance companies and payer representatives regarding provider enrollment and credentialing activities.
Maintain accurate credentialing records and tracking systems.

Provider Onboarding

Coordinate onboarding activities for newly hired providers.
Collect and organize required documentation prior to provider start dates.
Serve as a resource for providers throughout the onboarding and credentialing process.
Meet with providers in person, by phone, and via Zoom to answer questions and provide guidance.
Assist providers with obtaining required information such as NPI numbers, CAQH registration, Medicaid enrollment, and other provider identifiers.

CAQH & Provider Profile Maintenance

Create, update, and maintain provider CAQH profiles.
Monitor attestations and renewal requirements.
Ensure provider information remains complete, accurate, and current.

Organizational Support

Maintain credentialing reports and tracking systems.
Generate and review reports to ensure enrollment and credentialing requirements are current.
Support organizational credentialing and compliance initiatives.
Assist with audits, payer requests, and documentation reviews.
Maintain orderly electronic files and credentialing documentation.

Collaboration

Work closely with Billing, Leadership, and Hiring teams.
Communicate professionally with providers, insurance companies, government agencies, and external partners.
Assist in creating efficient workflows and organizational systems that support company growth.

QualificationsRequired

Minimum of 2 years of healthcare credentialing experience.
Experience with Medicaid and commercial payer credentialing.
Experience maintaining CAQH profiles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred

Experience in behavioral health, ABA, mental health, or related healthcare specialties.
Knowledge of Florida Medicaid enrollment processes.
Experience working with various healthcare provider types including behavioral health clinicians, psychologists, physicians, nurse practitioners, and other licensed professionals.
Experience collaborating with billing and revenue cycle teams.

Technical Skills

The successful candidate must be comfortable working with multiple software platforms and databases and have strong technology skills, including:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
Strong working knowledge of Excel, including maintaining spreadsheets, sorting and filtering information, tracking deadlines, and reviewing reports.
Ability to run credentialing and enrollment reports and utilize data to identify follow-up needs.
Ability to learn and navigate multiple payer, Medicaid, and credentialing portals.
Experience creating organized systems and processes to effectively manage large amounts of information.
