CNC LATHE MACHINIST (4 x 10 Hour Days) 1st Shift

Full time (MONDAY - THURSDAY / 10 Hour Days)

With over 30 years of experience, we are a recognized leader in precision plastic machining, serving demanding industrial and conveyor system markets. We continue to grow through investment in equipment, people, and process improvements.

Position Overview
We are expanding our CNC lathe capabilities and seeking a high-performing Machinist to help lead this growth.

Installing brand new SMEC SL 2500BSY - Multi-Axis Lathe

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership, values consistency, and wants to make a measurable impact on production performance.

Schedule
4 x 10-hour shifts (First Shift)
Monday–Thursday schedule (Fridays off)
Overtime available based on production needs
Consistent schedule designed to support work-life balance with a 3-day weekend.

Key Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc controls and G-Code
Create and edit programs for production and prototype parts
Support additional equipment including Haas VMCs and KOMO routers
Utilize CAD/CAM software (Mastercam or similar)
Capture manufacturing data in an ERP system
Machine precision plastic components to tight tolerances
Perform detailed inspections using precision measuring tools
Operate secondary/manual equipment as needed
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, the successful candidate must possess the following skills demonstrated through previous work experience.

5+ years CNC machining experience
Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls and G-Code programming
Experience with CNC lathes (SMEC preferred)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and quality
Trade school or equivalent experience required
