Full Job Description

Project Manager – Utility Programs

Employer: Utility Partners of America (UPA)
Location: Onsite at National Grid – Northborough, MA
Type: Contract 6 months with likely renewal

UPA is the employer of record. Role supports National Grid’s MA operations onsite in Northborough.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
Estimated range: $58– $65 per hour.

Personnel in these roles shall:

Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in partnership with stakeholders and executive sponsors.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk registers to ensure timely and successful delivery.
Lead cross-functional teams through planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
Establish clear communication and governance structures, producing regular progress updates and escalation reports.
Manage dependencies across workstreams and coordinate resource allocation to optimize performance.
Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive resolution of issues that could impact timelines or quality.
Support and facilitate post-implementation review, lessons learned, and continuous improvement efforts.

Key competencies include:

Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, PMI, or hybrid)
Stakeholder engagement, financial and schedule management
The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in complex environments
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred
AA or BS preferred. Extensive, related professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $58.00 - $65.00 per hour
