Full Job Description

We're hiring a Contract Administrative Assistant for a 3-6 month opportunity in Worcester, MA, with the possibility of extension or renewal. This is a fully onsite role, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, paying $20-$25 per hour. You'll provide day-to-day administrative and office support within a state agency environment, helping keep records, documentation, scheduling, correspondence, and general operations organized and running smoothly.

This is a great opportunity for an administrative professional who enjoys being organized, staying busy, and working in a structured professional environment. You'll gain valuable experience supporting a public-sector organization while developing your administrative, communication, and organizational skills. The role offers consistent hours, a predictable onsite schedule, and the potential to continue beyond the initial contract depending on business needs and performance. State and municipal organizations in Worcester regularly hire administrative and clerical professionals to support their day-to-day operations.

Required Skills & Experience

1+ year of administrative, office, clerical, or customer service experience
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Professional and dependable approach to work
Ability to work onsite in Worcester, MA five days per week

Desired Skills & Experience

Previous experience supporting a government, state, municipal, or public-sector organization
Experience with document management and maintaining records
Experience handling confidential or sensitive information
Experience coordinating schedules, meetings, or appointments
Familiarity with administrative databases or document management systems
Associate's degree or higher
Previous contract or temporary assignment experience
