Senior Frontend Software Engineer

Senior Frontend Software Engineer
Fully REMOTE - working mostly East Coast/Central hours
Compensation up to $185,000+ depending on location, experience and skills

Join a mission-driven team creating digital products that help family healthcare workers navigate and manage with confidence. This role focuses on building high-quality web experiences, advancing frontend architecture for our apps and includes optimizing CMS-driven websites while driving engagement, accessibility, and performance.

Responsibilities:

Build accessible, secure, and high-performing user experiences using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improve user engagement.
Ensure quality through testing, code reviews, and CI/CD best practices.
Contribute to platform performance, reliability, monitoring, and scalability initiatives.
Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and support architectural decisions.
Manage and enhance CMS platforms, including custom themes, modules, and plugins.
Ensure compliance with SEO best practices.

Qualifications:

7+ years of full stack software development experience with strong focus on frontend development. Must have some backend experience too.
5+ years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS. At this senior level, deep architectural experience with React is expected.
Experience with Drupal and/or WordPress development and administration is a plus.
Working knowledge of PHP or Python or Golang for back-end development.
Familiarity with Varnish, Solr, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Cloud experience, preferably AWS.
Strong understanding of testing, security, accessibility, and modern web development best practices.

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Linux experience and comfort working in a remote environment.
