Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our regenerative medicine practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical administrative skills, exceptional presentation skills, and a comprehensive understanding of regenerative medicine such as PRP and stem cell therapy. As a vital member of our team, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and effective communication between patients and healthcare providers. Your role will be instrumental in delivering a positive patient experience while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

Greet new patients warmly and provide excellent customer service.
Educate patients on the provider's treatment plan recommendations and make arrangements for payment or patient financing.
Schedule appointments using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Salesforce, or Athenahealth, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up.
Review and update patient medical records, ensuring proper documentation of care plans, procedures, and treatment notes using EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or similar platforms.
Assist with medical collection efforts by following up on outstanding balances and communicating effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries.
Maintain clinic supplies, organize medical records filing, and support administrative tasks such as data entry and typing with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Ensure compliance with clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive patient information and adhering to HIPAA standards.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to review treatment plans for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to protocol standards.
Manage phone communication with patients and providers professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and care coordination skills.
Support clinic operations by assisting with medical scheduling, front desk duties, and clerical responsibilities including filing and 10-key typing.

Requirements

Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with familiarity in clinic operations.
Excellent customer service skills combined with effective phone communication and professional demeanor.
Ability to review medical documentation accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook; typing skills should be precise with 10-key proficiency.
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with health information management practices is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
