Full Job Description

Front Office Administrator

Pay: $20 - $26 per hour

Summary:

This job posting is for a full-time Front Office Administrator with ASAP Metal Fabricators, a sheet-metal manufacturing job shop in Yakima, WA.

We are a small business with local owners, you won’t be treated like a number here. We believe that our people are our greatest assets, and we are always looking for great talent and great attitude to add to our team. We plan to grow, and we’re looking for long-term people to grow with us!

This is a customer-facing role responsible for administrative tasks and data entry, front desk reception, answering phones, processing orders, and other tasks as required. You’ll help ensure smooth daily operations and clear communication throughout the company.

Typical Responsibilities

Greet visitors, answer and direct incoming calls, respond to customer inquiries
Handle administrative AP and AR tasks, including billing and invoice processing, collections calls, vendor payments, etc
Maintain organized documentation and filing systems
Assist with order entry and customer communication, schedule pickups and shipments as needed
Perform general clerical tasks and occasional errands
Maintain office supplies and equipment, purchasing as needed.
Creating, maintaining, and entering information into databases.
Keep front office areas clean and organized.
Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies
Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and improve processes
Maintain positive communications with the team, work together to identify and escalate issues early, and overcome obstacles to success

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel)
Experience as an AP & AR administrator, office assistant, or a related field
Ability to write clear and effective emails
Ability to create and format basic excel spreadsheets and reports to communicate information
Strong communication skills
Ability to work well under limited supervision
Great communication skills
Dependable
Great attitude
Growth-minded

Required Experience

2+ years of relevant experience

The business operates on a 40-hour workweek. Fridays are half-days. Overtime may occasionally be required. Standard hours of operation are:

Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am - 3:30 pm
Fridays, 6:00 am - 10:00 am
