RN Unit Manager

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7AM-3PM OR 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Gold Crest Care Center | Bronx, NY

Gold Crest Care Center, a 175-bed CMS 5-Star skilled nursing facility located in the Pelham Gardens area of the Bronx, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented RN Unit Manager to support clinical documentation integrity, admissions coordination, and regulatory compliance.

This role is ideal for an RN with strong clinical judgment and documentation expertise who enjoys collaborating across departments and supporting nursing leadership. The position works closely with other Unit Managers, the MDS Coordinator, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure accurate documentation, smooth admissions, and high-quality resident care.

Key Responsibilities

Support and oversee the completion, review, and maintenance of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance
Assist with the admissions process, including pre-admission clinical review, initial assessments, documentation validation, and coordination of required clinical information
Collaborate with Unit Managers and the MDS Department to ensure documentation supports assessments, care planning, and reimbursement accuracy
Participate in the initiation, review, and updating of individualized, person-centered care plans
Conduct clinical documentation audits and follow-up to support quality assurance and risk management initiatives
Review physician orders for accuracy, ensure proper transcription, and follow up to confirm timely implementation
Assist with incident documentation and ensure appropriate clinical follow-up and completion
Provide clinical guidance, documentation, and education support to nursing staff, reinforcing adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Participate in daily morning meetings and communicate relevant clinical and documentation updates to the interdisciplinary team
Support infection control and quality initiatives through documentation review and coordination
Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and facility policies
Promote a resident-centered environment through clear communication, professionalism, and collaborative engagement with residents, families, and staff

Qualifications

Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License (required)
Prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care (required)
Strong clinical documentation skills with a solid understanding of regulatory requirements
Experience working with EMR systems
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively across departments
