Full Job Description

The Family Team Conference Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling all Family Team Conferences, which are meetings designed to bring all parties involved in a child’s life (birth parent, foster parent, caseworker, child, etc.) together to discuss case planning issues related to the child’s placement. The FTC Scheduler is also responsible for facilitating family team conferences to insure that all participants have an opportunity to be involved. He/she is responsible for focusing the group on the common task of reaching a decision about the permanency planning issues that protects and provides safety for the children in the least restrictive/intrusive manner possible. This person also will be closely involved in the program’s continuous quality improvement efforts, including case record reviews and other best practice management.

Schedule internal and ACS facilitated FTC's including coordination of meeting rooms/virtual links. Review FTC requests for accuracy. Ensure all parties are invited to the FTC’s. Accurately track FTC information, rescheduling and cancellations. Contact and consult with ACS, agency personnel and service providers as needed. Effectively manage conflict and strong emotions as they arise by utilizing conflict management skills while directing the group process and structure of the conference. Promote an inclusive, safe and supportive environment where all participants will be assured that they can and will be heard. Accurately record FTC information and decisions on designated forms (FTC Summary Report) and provide a copy of the report to all conference participants. Help the family understand the agency’s concerns in relation to safety and risk. Assist with covering the facilitation of FTCs as needed: When applicable: Lead conference participants in the group process and become involved in the discussion needed to ensure the best decision in regard to the safety and well-being of the child. When appliable: Facilitate a discussion of an appropriate permanency plan and child safety through shared decision making with conference participants. When applicable: Facilitate and lead the process for engaging families, community members, and service providers in critical decisions related to safety and risk. Ensure documentation of all FTCs are completed within 72 hours of FTC being held. Other duties as assigned by Senior Vice President of EFFC

Bachelors in Social Work or a Related field with at least 1 year experience working in the social service field.

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
