Full Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

We seek leaders who have a passion for hospitality. Our client, a branded boutique lifestyle hotel in the lower Hudson Valley, is seeking a Front Office Manager to lead the front desk, guest services, and arrival experience — ensuring every guest interaction, from reservation to checkout, reflects the warmth and character of the property. You will be responsible for daily front office operations, team scheduling and development, and partnering across departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead day-to-day front office operations including front desk, PBX, bell services, and guest relations
Recruit, train, schedule, and develop front office agents and supervisors; set an exemplary service standard
Manage arrival and departure experiences, VIP recognition, and special requests
Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, turning service recoveries into loyalty
Monitor and manage room inventory, upsell programs, and front office revenue opportunities in partnership with revenue and sales teams
Oversee accurate billing, cash handling, and end-of-shift reporting procedures
Ensure brand and company service standards are consistently executed
Partner with housekeeping and engineering on room readiness and guest-impacting issues
Maintain compliance with all safety, security, and regulatory requirements
Support the Director of Operations and General Manager as a key member of the leadership team

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 2–3 years of front office or rooms division leadership experience in a hotel environment
Working knowledge of property management systems (Opera or similar preferred)
Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal
Energetic, proactive, and solutions-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to build, motivate, and develop a team
Service-oriented mindset with a commitment to exceeding guest expectations
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest and company data
