Full Job Description

As a member of the management team of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Youngstown, the individual in this role oversees the daily operations, staff, and programming at a specific location/within a specified service area to ensure the organization’s mission is met.

General Summary: The County Manager serves as a local Catholic Charities representative in the community responsible for office management, staff/volunteer supervision, service delivery, safety compliance, and community outreach for a designated service area. This position aligns site activities with strategic goals and manages budgets and resources efficiently.

Specific Responsibilities:

The County Manager works with, and under the direction of, the Catholic Charities leadership team to accomplish the following:

· Program Implementation: Ensure effective delivery of services and execution of events and activities that meet community needs and organizational goals.

· Staff & Volunteer Coordination: Assist with the hiring process, as well as train, mentor and manage staff and volunteer scheduling necessary for effective service delivery.

· Office Management: Oversee day-to-day site operations, including maintenance of physical facilities, equipment and management of supplies and vendors.

· Budget & Finance Oversight: Monitor site specific budgets, expenditures and resource allocation.

· Safety & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and building inspections, as well as identifying, assessing, and addressing risks that could affect the organization’s operations, finances, reputation, or strategic goals.

· Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with appropriate legal requirements, organizational policies and grants/ contract requirements.

· Grants Participation: Assist with grants management including adhering to budget restrictions and collecting information for reporting purposes.

· Community & Parish Engagement: Foster positive relationships with community partners; pastors, priests and parishes; donors; and clients; represent the organization at community events; coordinate representation at local meetings; assist and support local fundraisers; and serve as staff to the county-based Catholic Charities advisory committee.

· Direct Service Provision: May provide direct service, depending on the needs of the office, to ensure continuity of care to clients.

· Other Duties as Assigned: May be asked to work evenings and weekends and to complete other tasks to ensure effective and efficient service provision throughout the service area.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in nonprofit operations, program coordination or facility management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and resolve operational issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting, liaising with stakeholders, and public speaking.
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks.
Bachelor’s degree in social work, non-profit management, business, or a related field OR 5-7 years of equivalent experience in a nonprofit management role.
Experience in nonprofit, community service, or operational leadership.
Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends and travel as needed.

Salary

Commensurate with experience
Commensurate with level of activity within the county site(s)
